Should I get a Mac?

I cannot decide between a Mac Notebook Pro or an Alienware Area-51 M5550. The Alienware I get more for the money (component-wise), but the Mac has OS X Leopard coming out, as well as it being a Mac.

Apple Macbook Pro 15"
Apple OS X Leopard
2.33GHz Processor
2GB 667MHz SDRAM
160GB 5,400RPM Hard Drive
15" WideScreen Matte Display
256MB Radeon X1600 Video Card
FireWire 800 Port, built-in Bluetooth
6x CD/DVD/RW
$2,754.94 -- FREE SHIPPING

Alienware Area-51 M5550 15.4"
Windows Vista Home Premium
2.33GHz Processor
2GB 667MHz SDRAM
200GB 4,200RPM Hard Drive
15.4" WideScreen Display
256MB nVidia Go 7600 Video Card
8x CD/DVD/RW
$2,951.04

Anyone have any input? I really wanted to try a Mac because I have an Alienware desktop already, and it's fine.. but I am a little scared about them not stating some key performance specs (hard drive cache, video card, mobo, etc).. so if anyone has any detailed spec sheets I would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys.

EDIT: Found some information on amazon...

Hi! I think you should make your choice based on the total value you'll get from your future notebook. Since I don't know how you will use it, it's hard for me to give an advice.

Personally, since I have a PC at home and work, I'd get a Mac (just for new Apple experience).

Get a Mac, if you don't like it, stick Windows on it (yup that's possible, and Apple supports it).

If your sick of Windows letting you down, buy one. And if you don't like, it like I said, just dig out Windows and ainstall that. The Mac will work fine with both (although it probably prefers OS X:P)
