| Member | Activation Numbers May Indicate Low Sales
So, AT&T have mucked it up, saying that only 146,000 iPhones were activated between the 29th and 30th. This was lower than the expected 500,000. Apple's shares went down 8% as a result, but analysts are saying that the numbers might be due the activation nightmare. |

Apple reported that almost 250,000 were sold is the first day. According to the article I was reading this figure only reflects in store sales. The fact that Att is only reporting 146,000 activations just means that people may jave waited till later to activate the phone because of the problems some were having.

Yeah, sorry about that, I read a few days after of generally good sales. Can anyone confirm what the demand is like from Apple store visits now or whatever. What seems to be the general opinion of it over there. |
