Stylus for the iPhone?

This is one thing I would love to see if the text messaging is a little sloppy. Sure, using fingers are nice and all, but from the looks of it a stylus would be a lot more accurate.

Screen

It's probably a good idea to use a stylus.. otherwise the screen will get dirty from finger prints etc.

I think there are applications that make it so fingerprints will not show up on plastics anymore. The main use I would have for a stylus is just plain accuracy of the buttons.

and for the GPS function. moving around maps on the iPhone with your thumb simply gets you frustrated

Especially if you're in an extreme hurry and pressured, your hand starts shaking.. your map could end up miles and miles away from where you meant it to be

i agree, but when i first heard of the iphone coming out, i was hoping it would have a sliding keyboard for sms and email. i think that would be sooo much more accurate than a stylus on a touch screen -- but if you watch the video, steve jobs talks about how he and everyone else hates styluses (styli? lol)

Yeah, that's the thing that has me doubting there will be an "apple exclusive" release of a stylus. Also, styli is the correct plural of stylus.

Actually, if you'd have watched the keynote, Steve hates the stylus. That was the whole point in finger control.

if you got a BIG thumb, then you wont be able use the iPhone with one hand.

What do you mean, you could use one hand.

Hold it with one hand, and use your other hand to do the selecting.
