The battery!!!

Built-in rechargeable, non-removable battery with up to 5 hours of talk/video/browsing or up to 16 hours of audio playback.

Sounds great... doesnt it?

I am the happiest chap who would love buying an iphone. its too cool and too good.

I think it's all fine and dandy until the battery breaks and I have no way of replacing it at home.

Yeah, exactly my gripe as well. Plus, Apple has always had a tendancy to, erm, how can we put it, bump up the battry life numbers unfairly.

Take for example, the iPod's claimed battery life, is with no backlight on, no EQ on, the same song playing continuously, and I think without any headphones to power.

thats what they call their "battery lab tests", very inpractical.

I think the only time I have ever done that is when I passed out with a song on repeat on my Sony Walkman. Well, at least with the iPhone it will still be playing when I wake up!

I would prefer a detachable battery because as long as it works fine, OK, when it goes down, you need to get a new iphone or if apple launches something new at that time..

Hopefully it's not like the iPod replacement program; $59.00 to replace your battery, and about 3 weeks of going without your iPod.
