Dead spots on iPhone screens

Quote:
It seems that a few iPhone users are encountering problems with the iPhone's touch screen, prompting Apple to replace some units.

Posters on Apple's support discussion boards and forums belonging to both AppleInsider and MacRumors have complained of dead spots on their iPhone's touch screen, almost like the old floor at the old Boston Garden. On a phone based almost entirely around touch-screen input, this would obviously be a serious problem.

Someguy on day one got an iPhone where the screen wouldn't sense touch at all, worse still for this though, they think it might happen over time.

It seems that Apple are classing screen repair as a non warranty repair and are charging people a lot of money.

If anyone comes across this problem, i found a site that can repair screens.

Apple replaced my iPhone free of charge when I had a few pixels go bad on me. But of course I had to spend an hour on the phone with Apple Techs and then spend five minutes at the Apple Store trying to show the guy what I was talking about when I said some pixels were red, blue, and green. Not the color they were supposed to be...
