I think that there will only be limited access at first, and will open up a little more when the demand grows

It will probably be extremely limited, that is, if they even allow Windows to sync at all. From a marketing standpoint, however, they should allow Windows to sync.

they wouldn't want to lose some customers, would they?
that will happen if they dont allow Windows to sync

i'm thinking they'll do like they did when they came out with the ipod. full mac integration before allowing pc integration. once again, if you watch the video, jobs says they've made three great innovations: mac, ipod, iphone.... mac was first unable to integrate, now it is. same goes for ipod... perhaps the same for iphone? the only other option i would see is allowing full integration from day one... perhaps apple has learned they're mistakes?

Their mistakes? I don't think they have done any mistakes concerning integration with products. The thing is that the past two products have been strictly Apple Inc.'s projects. Now there is another company that has some say in how things are going to be done; Cingular. If they limit integration strictly to Mac computers then both Apple Inc. and Cingular will both lose money on the deal. Coming from their past ways, however, it is Apple's nature to not allow windows integration, so maybe they will compromise and allow limited access from the start to Windows, but I doubt it will be full integration.

Hmm, the problems are some of the things it syncs with are Apple only programs, so they would have to be released for Windows too (never happening IMO).
