Wi-fi problem with TalkTalk modem

I have the new Iphone 3G and the Wi-fi wont work at home. It works on other Wi-fi networks away from home but not on my home wi-fi. Can anyone help me work out to get it at home.. Takes ages to use phone internet as poor signal area.
Please help or ask questions and I will do best to answer. Thanks

I know it may sound daft, but have you checked the security on your home wifi?
You may need to input the security code into your iPhone to let it connect.
