Bricked iphone

I Originally unlocked my iphone(1.0) with iphonesimfree and it was working fine with T-Mobile. After a recent network reset, my phone froze up. I was only able to restore it to firmware 1.1 . Now when I try to restore to 1. 0, I keep getting an error message : " the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred(5). Sometimes the message has a (1), (6) or (2003) at the end. Please help me unbrick my phone.

By the way, I'm on windows XP.
