How do i make received text messages private?

every time someone sends a text message, most if not all of the message shows up on my screen, which is not very private. does anyone know how to adjust the phone so that nothing shows up or at least a more traditional alert shows on the screen, like Nokia's envelope?

unfotunately!!! we do not have that option.
