nVidia.. hardcore gamer love!

So I just got my first free issue of Computer Shopper and it is the Reader's Choice Awards issue. I was flipping through the magazine and came across the hardware reviews (the actual CS reviews, not the reader reviews) and saw something absolutely insane..

The nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX.

Redefine your gaming reality with NVIDIA® SLI™-Ready GeForce® 8800 graphics processing units (GPUs). The world’s first DirectX® 10 GPUs feature a powerful unified architecture that delivers an incredibly true-to-life gaming experience. Power through games at record speeds. Charge through game maps with vividly realistic, sun-up to sun-down HDR lighting effects while steering clear of mind-blowing physics effects such as explosions, fire, and smoke. Crank up 16x full-screen anti-aliasing without missing a beat – no jaggies, no worries. And when you’re not pwning the enemy, relax to your favorite movies on HD DVD or Blu-ray™ disk with NVIDIA PureVideo™ HD technology.

Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec): 36.8
DirectX 10 Ready

This is a single video card, not dual STI... sure, it will set you back around $600 to $800, but for some that is worth getting the upper hand on their opponents. Oh, I forgot to mention something. Aside from the initial price you spend for the unit itself, get ready to upgrade your power supply to run this thing. They recommend a 450W or greater power supply with a 12-volt rating of 30 amps (you're almost certain to need a new power supply if you run 2 of these bad boys).

Yes, specs are pretty impressive! A step closer to the virtual reality.

A guy on a tech forum I know has 2 of these in his gaming PC... talk about overkill. Oh, and his 8GB of RAM is also pretty nuts.

That was a pretty useless post.

If I'm not mistaken though, Vista can't play most XP games. Great eh?

Have you even looked at the forums? There are posts from you in EVERY SINGLE THREAD, even the ones that are from when this forum started a few months ago. Post count is cool and all, but you are just being retarded at this point. You don't need to comment your $0.02 on news that is 2+ months old, and you don't need to say "ZOMG WORTHLESS POST" just to get your post count up.
