Voice actived interfaces

Do you think voice activated interfaces as the way of the future?

Better yet do you think they could replace interfaces as we know and love them today be it touch, or buttons.

I think voice activation will be big in the future, but right now most systems are extremelly poor.

Top Gears Jeremy Clarkson drove a BMW with iDrive (not apple related), and he tried furiously to phone someone with the voice activation. The car would do pretty much everything but what he wanted.
