Verizon Said NO

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/20...n-iphone_x.htm

Damn, what I would have done for Verizon to say yes.

All I can hope is that the iPhone is a massive success... make Verizon wish they would have agreed upon an exclusive contract.

Yeah, that was like the Harry Potter series of books was turned down by nearly every major publisher before becoming the huge success it is now.

Is Verizon a lot better?

T-Mobile are great here. They offer good customer service and great prices.

I think one of the problems with the iPhone out there will be the fact that it's not flexible in the carrier.

I will be pissed if I get a Cingular contract for 2 years with the iPhone just to have T-Mobile get access to the iPhone a few months later. I already have to pay $450 on top of the iPhone + Plan just to cancel my current contract with my phone.

Verizon is kind of expensive, though. Plus, they usually do not provide service to people who don't have lots of good credit. When they do provide the service, they charge huge deposits. I do not like Verizon much, so I do not care that they refuse to serve the iPhone.
